Bad OVI ink lotNext B030 ink delivery carries a latent defect — colour-shift drifts while it is consumed. Investigate via Pareto → SPC → lot trace. Plate wear driftForce the intaglio relief out of control at B050 (20% defect) — scrap climbs, sheets go to the shredder. Plate changeDispatch corrective maintenance on B050 — the engraved plate is swapped and the process returns to nominal. Recover allReset B030 and B050 defect rates back to baseline — end of the story.
